Continuing Education Program Approval CouncilThe purpose of this committee is to review continuing education courses and award CE according to the procedures set forth by as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by Louisiana State Nurses Association Approver Unit, an accredited approver by the American Nurses by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. LSNA Provider No. 4003232. Conference registration will be waived for the nurse planner assigned to attend any TNP CE event. Council Members Term Limits: 2-year terms, max of 3, two-year terms or 6 years.
Editorial BoardReview and approve the editorial calendar for the quarter publication. Must be willing to do a quick turnaround on peer review of quarterly publication. Committee Members Term Limits: 1-year term – for a total of 3 years Education CommitteeThe purpose of this committee is to plan and coordinate educational offerings by the association, including the development of topics/offerings and securing speakers. Committee Members Term Limits: 1-year term – for a total of 3 years
Research CommitteeReview all research requests before TNP approval for distribution to members. Committee Members Term Limits: 1-year term – for a total of 3 years Nominating CommitteeThe committee's purpose is to facilitate the annual board election, including posting vacancies, vetting candidates, and developing a slate of candidates. In addition, the nominating committee develops the process and rubrics for annual awards as well as provides recommendations for the respective awards to the TNP board of directors. Committee Members Term Limits: 1-year term – for a total of 3 years
NP Regulatory Advisory CouncilThe purpose of this committee is to review proposed rules from state regulatory agencies. TNP will monitor the proposed rules, draft comments, and request periodic input from the Council on the practical implication of these regulations for NPs. Council Members Term Limits: No Term Limits but members will be asked annual in their interest to be reappointed.
NP Wellness CommitteeContribute to wellness activities during TNP events as well as develop programs, tools, and initiatives to assist TNP members to find balance and to live healthy lifestyles. Committee Members Term Limits: 1 year term – for a total of 3 years
Policy CouncilThe responsibilities of this committee include Coordinating regional grassroots efforts, conducting legislative visits, and fostering media engagement. Council Members Term Limits: 2-year terms, max of 3, two-year terms or a total of 6 years.
