Learner Outcomes:
- Learner will know and comply with the requirements for APRN licensure, requirements for physician delegation for APRN practice, and delegation of prescriptive authority, and maintain appropriate documentation of compliance.
- Learner will also comply with practice limitations set forth in Texas law.
- Learner will understand the process to pursue each certification, licensure, and credential required to transition to practice as a nurse practitioner.
- Learner will apply to the applications required to obtain the certificates, licenses, and credentials required to transition to practice as a nurse practitioner
- Learner will increase their knowledge of nursing coding and billing principles and be able to apply these principles to professional nursing practice.
- Learner will self-report an intent to implement strategies to avoid pitfalls in the transition to practice, promote self-care practices and demonstrate effective leadership skills.
- Learner will report a greater knowledge of negotiating and understanding employment agreements and contracts based on a post event evaluation.
Accreditation:
Learners will be awarded 6 Contact Hours. Completion of the course and evaluation are required.
